First Yarn Harvest!

I came home to a big box of goatling wool on my porch! It has been almost 10 months since it was dropped off at the fiber lady. It was a long wait for a little yarn. I was surprised first to find how beautiful the yarn turned out! The color was gorgeous. It was definitely not a worsted weight as suggested, more sport. There was also only 4 skeins of it. The rest was a huge powder puff ball of dirt and debris! A lot of dirt and debris, I was shocked! I could tell that it had been washed and carded but never thought it would create a plume of dirt where ever it went. Literally the whole table was covered. I have sent a message to the processors to get some answers... as I am totally confused! Aside from the confusion and dirt, I am thrilled to have it in my hands and to consider what it will become!
